Scott Degnan is the Partner and Co-founder of RV Business Solutions and President of Degnan Management Group, Inc., a privately held consulting company.
Drawing on his 30+ years of experience in the Recreational Vehicle (RV) Industry, he provides advisory and consulting services to clients within the RV Industry.
Scott’s career includes leadership roles at Winnebago Industries (NYSE: WGO), wherein 2012; he was recruited as a Vice President to lead sales, product management, marketing, and customer service for the Motorhome Division.
During that time, Winnebago grew its motorhome annual retail unit sales from 4,642 to 9,307, grew its motorhome net revenue from $582M to $875M, increased its operating income from $9.5M to $65.7M, and increased its consolidated North American motorhome retail market share to over 20%. In addition, the company had the number one selling motorhome brand and was awarded RV Business Magazine’s RV of the Year, RV Business Magazine’s Newsmaker of the Year, and was named one of Fortune Magazines Fastest Growing Companies 3 years in a row.
In 2016, Scott was named President of the company’s Towable Division. He led a significant business transformation that included organic net revenue, gross margin, op income, market share growth, manufacturing operations expansion, and an enterprise-leading EHS implementation. In addition, he managed strategic business initiatives, which included establishing new relationships and contracts with the financial community, key suppliers and distribution channels, product portfolio rationalization, and strategic product development.
As a key member of Winnebago’s Executive Leadership Team, Scott also served as the General Manager for the business, where the consolidated net revenue grew from <$900M to over $2B; acquired three leading brands within the RV and boating Industry (Grand Design RV, Chris-Craft luxury boats, and Newmar motorhomes) and tripled their consolidated RV market share from <3% to over 11%.
Previously, Scott held executive leadership roles at Coachmen RV, Fleetwood Enterprises, and MVP RV, where he was also an equity partner.
Scott lives in Colorado and enjoys playing golf, spending time with nearby family, and traveling with his wife and two adult daughters.
